  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 23 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups cinnamon-raisin bread, cubed, day old

directions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine all ingredients except bread in a large bowl.
  • Stir to mix well.
  • Stir in bread.
  • Spoon into ungreased casserole dish and bake 30 minutes or until pudding is set and knife come out clean.

  1. Let me tell you, 'Your Grandma's got great taste,' 'cause THIS BREAD PUDDING IS WONDERFUL, even if it did need one more ingredient ~ 3/4 of a cup of additional raisins! Didn't think of it in time for this round, but another time I'd like to serve this topped with a mild-flavored mincemeat sauce! Thanks for posting the recipe!
