It was always the first question from guest at Memorial Day parties: "Did you make the meatballs?" It may be taboo to post this "famous" recipe, but it's too good not to share. They get better the longer they simmer, and warm up and freeze well, so making extra never hurts, but doesn't garauntee you'll have some left. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Mix all of the meatball ingredients, working the mixture as little as possible.
  2. Place cookie cooling racks over cookie sheets.
  3. Shape mixture into one-inch balls, rinsing your hands after every 5 or 6, and place on cooling racks.
  4. Bake meatballs 20 minutes at 350, or until almost cooked.
  5. Heat chili sauce and jelly in a skillet until jelly is melted, stirring constantly.
  6. Add meatballs and stir until coated.
  7. Simmer for half an hour, then transfer to a crockpot.
