    Purdy Good Cook's Note:

This recipe has been past down from my Grandma to so many people. I have tasted many butter tarts, but these are definitely the best. Everyone who has ever tasted one has asked for the recipe. We make these every year at Christmas. Hope you enjoy these as much as my family does.

This is a great tasting, easy recipe for butter tarts. I made this for the mini dessert buffet for my parents 50th anniversary party. I used Short crust Pastry Recipe 177343 and placed them in a muffin tin.

Tried these butter tarts last Christmas and definitely going to make them again this year. They are as simple to make as they are delicious to eat. I am not a fan of raisins so I used pecans instead and everyone loved them....This a favorite for me sure..Thanks

Made these for the holidays and everyone really liked the results! I doubled the recipe and used the ingredients as called for. I'll make these again for sure. Thanks, Purdy!
