"Everyone knows that Grandma's desserts are the best. This is my Grandma Dorothy's recipe and for as long as I can remember no other has compared to it."

  • Brownies:

  • Bring oleo, cocoa, cooking oil, and water to a roiling boil.
  • Combine flour and sugar and then add the ingredients above.
  • Stir in eggs, buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla.
  • Pour into 16" or 17"x 11" or 12" pan that has at least a 1" lip.
  • Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.
  • Frosting:

  • Combine oleo, cocoa, milk and bring to a boil.
  • Add powdered sugar gradually and keep stirring.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Make sure everything is well mixed and pour on top of brownies.
  • Let it stand for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Eat and enjoy!

I'm almost 21 years old and I have a 3 month old daughter. MI fiance and I are hoping to get married this fall. I have just started to cook for him. He's actually teaching me how to cook, but I can bake. That is one area I'm good in.
