I'm not sure where this recipe originally came from, maybe a box of jello? A jello mold was always a holiday tradition with my mom. This was always one of the kid's favorites. Pretty holiday color too - good for Thanksgiving or christmas.

  1. Mix cinnamon into jello (before adding boiling water).
  2. Dissolve the jello/cinnamon mixture in boiling water.
  3. Add cold apple juice and chill until thick.
  4. Add apple, celery and nuts.
  5. Spoon into jello mold or 8x4 loaf pan.
  6. Refridgerate till set (over night is best).
  7. Mama used to serve it with a dollop of mayonnaise.

This was a nice jello salad, the addition of the cinnamon and apple juice was unique and a nice change.

The cinnamon and apple juice gave the jello a nice flavor. It is a simple jello salad with a small amount of apple and celery which set up on the top for me as I didn't take time to let the jello thicken. I made this for our Thanksgiving dinner and it went well with our tradition dishes. I give it a slightly above average rating because it is a little better than an average jello recipe.
