Grandma Chics Cinnamon Loaf 1965

  • Cream the shortening, sugar, until well combined, add the eggs, then dry and wet ingredients.
  • Combine the batter well.
  • Combine the brown sugar, and cinnamon and set aside.
  • In your greased and floured baking loaf pan, place half the batter evenly, sprinkle half the cinnamon mixture over that and cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle all the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture evenly over the top.
  • Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for one hour.

  1. I have made this loaf for many years! I use margarine or butter to replace the Crisco, I like this recipe because I usually have the ingredients on hand and it is quick and easy and very tasty! It smells so good as it bakes in the oven!
