These cookies taste more like a heavenly piece of fudge than they do a cookie, and they are definately "On The Top Of MY LIST". YUM!!! They have been around for years, and every recipe is basically the same, but this one has a few additions, and I don't see any posted that are exactly like this one, so I wanted to share it with you... Enjoy!
Directions:
1
Mix the sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk in a med. saucepan, and heat over med. heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil.
2
Let mixture boil for 2 1/2 mins., then remove from heat.
3
Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, and oats. If you are adding coconut and/or raisins, add at this time too.
4
If it looks on the runny side and soft, add another 1/2 cup oats gradually, until desired thickness, and mix well.
5
You don't want them to spread out too much when you drop them onto the wax paper.
6
Working quickly, drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or aluminum foil.
7
Let cool.
8
The serving size is approximate, as it depends on how big you make them.
Ratings & Reviews:
I used these as little nests to decorate for Easter with some small speckled jelly beans tucked into the chocolate when they were hot. The kids will be so happy when they bite into these delicious treats! I have made these several times and they are always enjoyed, but this time (minus the raisins) making little Easter Nests, the kids are going to flip! They look so cute and inviting!

My kids made these for their church Christmas party and they went over really well. I had mothers asking me for the recipe as a matter of fact! Elaine
