  1. Dissolve gelatin in milk.
  2. Mix in sugar, salt and egg yolks. Be sure yolks are completely mixed in.
  3. Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to thicken. Do not let boil.
  4. Cool until firm.
  5. Beat egg whites until stiff. Set aside.
  6. Beat cooled mixture until creamy.
  7. Fold in Cool Whip and vanilla.
  8. Fold in egg whites.
  9. Place a layer of crumbs on the bottom of a serving bowl.
  10. Pour pudding in and top with more cracker crumbs.
