I got this recipe off of the back of a graham cracker box, and I could not believe how yummy they were! I have not made them with plain graham crackers, so I just used my own best judgement in estimating the additions of granulated sugar and cinnamon to compensate.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Grease a 9 inch square pan (I used an 8 inch square pan and it worked fine).
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add egg, milk, and vanilla.
  5. Beat just until blended, the mixture will be grainy.
  6. Stir in graham cracker crumbs, coconut, and chocolate until just mixed.
  7. Spread evenly in pan.
  8. Bake 25 to 27 minutes until lightly browned on top.
  9. Cool and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
  10. Cut into bars and serve.

How can something so good be so easy!! It satisfies the dessert craving without being overly sweet. I made it exactly as written however I ran out of graham wafer crumbs so I had to use 1 c. of Oreo chocolate crumbs. I added the chopped pecans as suggested by a reviewer then baked them in a 9x9" pan. They turned out perfect & were a huge hit in our house. Half the pan was gone in no time. Thank you for the recipe. I think it will be a frequent 'go to dessert recipe'.
