I made half the recipe for me and DH. And I let it on the counter 20 minutes to marinate. DH didn't really like it because of the balsamic vinegar. It's not a taste he really likes. So I was lucky to have it all for me. For me it's delicious. The taste of the balsamic vinegar, black pepper, vanilla, and the splenda gives a great taste to the strawberries. It was not too sweet. This is amazing. Made with Splenda and white balsamic vinegar. This was served over non-fat, sugar free vanilla yogurt for a delicious lite dessert.
Yum-o! We really enjoyed this recipe. I have always heard of of strawberries being served this way but never had tried it my self. I made by using the 1st option for 20 minutes at room temp. I would like to try your suggestion of reducing the syrup & serving over pancakes. 2nd recipe made for PAC 2009
