Gouda to Know Ya Bacon Burgers

"Ok, so honestly these were pieced together from parts of several recipes...honorable mention goes to Kittencal (onion soup mix) and Rachael Ray (Gouda). I have always eaten my burgers medium rare.....but these are cooked med- well due to my suspicion of grocery store ground beef. Surprisingly they were very juicy!"

 2. I'd expected to love these - the recipe looks great! Made exactly per the recipe. But there's so many seasonings going on, I couldn't taste the beef! Any one of them would have resulted in a delicious burger, but altogether it overwhelmed the meat. Sorry. made for Fall PAC 2009.

 3. RecipeZaar is a great place for getting recipe ideas and this one is a perfect example. The flavor of the burgers are wonderfully bold. I used the packaged soup mix & regular gouda since that is what we had on hand. Made as directed otherwise. We topped the burgers with additional gouda for garnish. A great burger recipe, thanks for sharing your creation. :)

 4. Great burger recipe. I used fresh chopped yellow onion in place of the soup mix, but otherwise followed the recipe as written. Nice mixture of flavors, loved the smoked gouda, toasted the buns, and served with tomatoes, mayo, and bbq sauce. I'll make this one again for sure.

Born and raised in Florida I can always remember being in the kitchen or out near the grill when Mom and Dad were cooking, kinda like a hungry dog waiting for a scrap, LOL. So anyways, I have always loved to cook, even when I was in the military I had hotplates and electric skillets in my dorm room, no chow hall for me thanks!!! Funny how many "friends" show up when they smelled home cooking!! I enjoy cooking shows and get a lot of my ideas there. Also since I have discovered ZAAR I have gotten a lot of inspiration here.
