  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 (425 g) package ready-to-use refrigerated pie crusts (2 crust)
  • 1 cup kraft tex-mex light cheese, shredded

directions

  • Heat oven to 425°F.
  • Brown meat in large skilllet; drain. Stir in salsa; remove form heat,.
  • Place 1 crust on baking sheet; top with meat mixture, spreading to within 1-inch of edge. Cover with cheese and remaining crust; seal edges with fork.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before cutting into wedges to serve.
  • SUBSTITUTE: Substitute Tex-Mex for Mozzarella shredded cheese.
  • SPECIAL EXTRA: Top with 1 small chopped tomato and 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro just before serving. Serve with a mixed green salad.

  1. This was pretty good flavor wise. I added more cheese than stated. However, it does make a very large empanada, and I think I would like to play around making this into smaller pies. Thanks!

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
