this is a favorite in our house... no more store bought clays or play doughs!!! haven't for years... my kids have loved picking their colors and scents from the kool-aid section for their clay/dough!! Thanks for posting this recipe. :)

This stuff is great and easy! I am anxious to see how long it lasts. Thanks for sharing! :O) UPDATE: If we are successful at keeping this sealed when not using, it lasts about a month, or longer! Woo Hoo!! Play-doh only lasts us about a week before it gets all crumbly. Oh, and if you find, like I did, that cream of tartar has gotten way too expensive in the grocery store (almost $8!!), I discovered Penzey's Spices, where they sell an equivalent amount for about $2!! I believe you can order it online.

This is a terrific recipe for play dough. Very fast and easy. I can't be in the same room with store bought play-doh because of the smell. We got rid of all of the old stuff when I made this batch. It holds together really well. I can't wait to try different colors. Thanks for sharing!

The perfect playdough recipe! I also won't use the kool-aid because my class of little 1 year olds would think it was snack-time! The only thing I don't like is it leaves hands gritty from the salt, but if I remember correctly from childhood that is typical of homemade playdough.

I never knew you could make such brilliant playdough with using a microwave. Easy to make and a great result. Thanx
