- 2 cups Baby Spinach
- 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
- 3⁄4 cup chunk pineapple, drained
- 1 -2 banana
- 1 cup filtered water
directions
- Layer ingredients in a blender in this pattern: pineapple, 1 handful spinach, yogurt, 1 handful spinach, bananas, 1 handful spinach, water. Blend well and serve over ice.

Excellent! This is the perfect, healthy way to start a day. It is simple to make and tastes wonderful. Even though the drink is visibly green, spinach is not the dominate taste. I really tasted the banana (I used two but may use just one next time) and pineapple. Perfect consistency. Made for Pick A Chef 2012. Thank you!

As my name suggests, I am a part-time hobbit, escaping to my quiet life in the Shire whenever I can.
In reality, I am a busy student who uses cooking as therapy. I am severely gluten intolerant and mildly dairy intolerant, so most of the recipes I post/comment on will be compatible with my dietary restrictions. Still, I love to eat, and have learned that you don't have to sacrifice flavor and personality when you go gluten and dairy free. I tend to like recipes that are either real homey comfort food, or transport me to the places I've travelled to, or would like to someday visit.
