A refreshing blend of tropical flavors with a beautiful green hue, this smoothie is the perfect healthy start to your morning. Adjust fruit to taste, I seem to whittle down the fruit each time I make it as I come to love the green flavor more and more.
- 2 cups Baby Spinach
- 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
- 3⁄4 cup chunk pineapple, drained
- 1 -2 banana
- 1 cup filtered water
- Layer ingredients in a blender in this pattern: pineapple, 1 handful spinach, yogurt, 1 handful spinach, bananas, 1 handful spinach, water. Blend well and serve over ice.
Very good! This is my first attempt at a green smoothie and I'm glad I tried this recipe. The only change I made was to use coconut water in place of plain water. Thanks!
Excellent! This is the perfect, healthy way to start a day. It is simple to make and tastes wonderful. Even though the drink is visibly green, spinach is not the dominate taste. I really tasted the banana (I used two but may use just one next time) and pineapple. Perfect consistency. Made for Pick A Chef 2012. Thank you!
