  1. Of all the hosts the food network has, I've always loved Alton Brown's show and recipes the most. Not only does he explain why certain techniques are better, the finished products always tastes amazing! That includes this waffles recipe :) I added a little cinnamon because I enjoy the flavor. On one of the waffles, I added m&ms candies as soon as I poured the batter - and it was excellent. Highly recommend this recipe

  2. A very good basic waffle! Thanks Alton Brown (one of my favorite celebrity cooks!) I love that they are 1/2 whole wheat already, as changing to 1/2 whole wheat is usually my first change in any waffle/pancake recipe!

  3. Good Eats is one of my favorite shows, so I was pretty excited when I saw this recipe. I made these last night for dinner, and we both thought they were pretty good. I cut the recipe in half, thinking it would still make several waffles, but boy was I wrong! We just got a belgian waffle maker for Christmas, so I was using that, and only got three waffles! They were very large and filling, though, so one a piece was plenty. In the future, I will probably try putting things like vanilla or cinnamon (or both!) in, just for some more flavor. Thanks for posting!

  4. Really great waffles! What more is there to say? Thanks for posting.

  5. I make these quite often and they are really good. I usually keep them in the freezer for a quick breakfast, and they do freeze well. I wrap each one individually in a paper towel to freeze, then unwrap and place in double walled plastic zipper bags. We just pop them in the toaster on mornings when there's no time to cook. Oh, I also add a teaspoon of vanilla to the mix... we love vanilla waffles. (hint: they now sell double walled zipper bags in the grocery store, and IMO, they are well worth the price.)
