The simplicity of the ingredients in this recipe may lead you to think the taste would be uninteresting or bland. This is absolutely not the case! It is easy to make and very tasty! Being nervous about the possible blandness of the base ingredients, I chose to cook the meatballs in 8 cups of chicken soup. Keeping the broth at a low boil, almost a simmer, ensured that they would not fall apart despite their lack of eggs or breading which usually act as a bonding agent. Not knowing what to serve with the meatballs, I decided on egg noodles. I removed the meatballs with a slotted spoon and set them aside in a warm place while the egg noodles cooked in the same broth.

I had no idea what to expect when I mixed everything together... It seemed like there was too much liquid and I was terrified that the meatballs wouldn't stay together. Was I ever wrong! I couldn't believe how quick, easy and delicious these were! I think I will be making these again and again! Thank you :)

Mirj, I have to apologize to you -I have made this recipe at least a dozen times already and I have never rated it! It deserves 5 stars all the way. I have only ever made them in chicken stock and they are delicious. Thanks for a family favourite.
