Perfect! The batter is thinner than other recipes I've tried but it worked beautifully. My daughters gave it a big thumbs up which says it all. Definitely my regular pancake recipe from now on. Thanks!

This is the only pancake recipe that I ever use. I have been making it for at least a year now. It makes such yummy pancakes no one ever wants me to use the readymade powder mix. It is so simple and easy that I don't mind. For calorie sake, I do use splenda rather than sugar and 2tbsp of egg white rather than the egg. Elzmom, I think you need to try making these again because you must have done something very wrong to not get fluffy pancakes.

The pancake tasted fine, but I was looking for fluffy pancakes and these were VERY flat.

I'm not sure I have ever tasted a better pancake! This recipe is everything you expect from a pancake, light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. I have tried many pancake recipes on this site and also from many cookbooks. However, this recipe stands above all others I have tried in texture and flavor. I will be sure to use this recipe again and again! Thank you, love4culinary!

We had these for Sunday breakfast today and they were enjoyed all around. An un-stuffy pancake. Even the kid who won't eat pancakes (yes, I have one!) ate two (without syrup).

Can't remember the last time I made pancakes from scratch and now I'm wondering why. These were light and wonderful. If you're looking for thick pancakes, look elsewhere. These are thin, crepe-like pancakes and work great out of the freezer. Because they're so thin, just pop them in the toaster and voila -breakfast is ready.

Angela...you werent kidding here, these are so good plain and good with your BF idea of the cinnamon and sugar swirl. I added a little almond extract to some and that was super too. These are my pancakes to make from now on, in fact my BF requested a second batch for the freezer! TY

This recipe is definitely over-rated, all 24 of you! Pancakes were NOT extra fluffy [at all] and quite sweet (even though I only added two tablespoons of sugar); however, if are you looking for a pancake with crepe-like qualities, this is the one for you.

Sign in or create an accountWhile these were delicious, I have to agree with Elz'smom that these were not fluffy and in fact very flat. I was hoping they would look like the picture but they were very thin instead. I followed the recipe exactly so I know it wasn't a mistake that I made.

These pancakes are fabulous! Ever since I got this recipe I have never made pancakes any other way! The pancakes do come out reallly thin, but they are delicious! I tried adding a little bit of butter and less oil, and they came out perfect! Thanx!

Lightest fluffiest pancakes ever!!!! I can only imagine that the people who ended up with flat pancakes using this recipe accidentally used baking soda instead of baking powder. Common mistake that will make this recipe fall flat. Pun intended! :)

mmm this recipe is very good!!. It was really fluffy and nice.. I ate the hole batch hehe. But I found they were too fat and to cook right through the outside would have to burn, but still i manged that and they turned out very nice. Myself being only fourteen, cooked the nice and simple recipe nad it was DELICIOUS!! :)

Nearly excellent in that I've had to adjust the milk to roughly 1 cup rather than 1 &1/3 c. Not sure if altitude has anything to do with it but being at sea level (on an island), the extra 1/3 c. made the batter too thin and pancakes flat. Those who had the same problem, start with 1 c. and if not enough, add more to the desired consistency (making sure not to over-stir).
This is my first pancakes from scratch and I love it! Thank you, love4culinary, for sharing. From this, I've had the courage to venture into more "scratch" baking and loving it! Time to ween ourselves off preservatives and additives. Aloha!
Really easy and very fluffy. I didn't have milk, so used 1 c. of half and half and 1/3 c. water. I was very careful to aerate the dry ingredients using a whisk - versus sifting. DH rarely has second helpings so I was very surprised that he did. Thanks for recipe!

We have a pancake breakfast every Saturday as a family. Each week we try a new pancake recipe - this was by far one of the best! it's impossible for me to cook without altering a recipe, in this case we added a pinch of ginger, allspice, fresh ground nutmeg & fresh ground cinnamon. Then we topped them with blackberry jam, fresh strawberries & a dollop of whipped cream. Absolutely to die for! They literally melted in our mouths! Thanks for an amazing pancake that we will DEFINATELY repeat next Saturday!

fast and easy. Had everything on hand. I used half and half instead of milk, added vanilla and a touch of cinnamon and then just for the fun of it tossed in a few blue berries... Awesome and completely sinful in taste.. Makes exactly what I need for teenager son and preteen daughter. I always have extra or not enough. This recipe was perfect all the way around... TY so much for posting.

No more pancake mix for us :) This was very easy, and made the perfect amount for me and my 2 girls. They weren't extra fluffy, but still very tasty. I used buttermilk instead of regular milk and that worked rather well. Thanks for posting!

Oh wow! Mine look exactly like the ones in the picture. (only in ovals, it's the only way I've ever been able to make pancakes) Thanks for sharing!

Good think pancake although I wouldn't call it "extra fluffy". I subbed vanilla soymilk for half the milk which worked nicely. These smelled like funnel cakes as they were cooking up and I couldn't resist throwing in a few mini chips.

Excellent recipe - very delicious pancakes, but they did not rise as high as I expected (from the picture and title). I'll take some of the blame - I probably should have wisked highter before pouring. Overall, it's definitely a "keeper".
