  • Add water and salt to yolks and beat until thick and foamy.
  • Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder.
  • Whisk flour mixture into yolks until just blended.
  • Add extract.
  • bake 1 hour at 350.

  1. This turned out 100% better then the one I tried to make 17 years ago. I think the directions in step 1 is what helped me this time. I don't remember beating the yolks until they were thick and foamy back then. Yes, that was a long time ago. But when half the cake comes out of the pan like a rubber ball, you tend to remember these things. lol This was good but I wanted a little more flavor. A friend of mine that is a baker said to pour a liqueur over the cake when it is still warm. I adopted this chef for the *Spring PAC 2008* game
