I wanted to make this for a while now. Glad I did. The marmalade comes through so nicely. I skipped the salt and bacon. Used all undrained cans of beans and 5 cloves of garlic. Doubled the celery seeds and chili powder. I did added 1/2 can of leftover chick peas. I place it in a tortilla with brown rice and cheese. Thanks!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! This is the recipe I will be using next time for baked beans. I am not normally a big fan of pork & beans, but my DH enjoys them. I wasn't expecting to like this recipe as much as I did. Not only would this be a great potluck item, but it is a terrific & filling meal for a family. These are an unexpected delight! So tasty, not overwhelmingly sweet, nicely seasoned, and full of meat. My husband ate several servings & passed over a cake to have more of these later. He even told me not to lose this recipe! Success!! =) I used a 51 oz can of pork & beans. I drained most of the liquid off of both it & the rotel tomatoes. I also used regular marmalade & completely omitted the salt. I followed all other instructions & ingredients. They smelled so good cooking and thickened as they cooled. The leftovers are wonderful! Thank you for a recipe that will be in my keeper file!
