Bob Red Mills has GLUTEN FREE oats now. Google or buy it at HFS. Be careful eating them at first, your system is not use to oat fiber and needs time to adjust. One smaller serving a week should be max at first. Some will have a problem with oats always, bc they gave a protein similar to gluten, but it is not gluten. For those I am sorry.

Sorry folks, but I just found out that Oats period, have some gluten protein in them. My cousin, an herbalist, and I went wild harvesting to gather milky oat tops in SF. After getting home and turning them into a tea and trying them, I was told by her after all that there is gluten in them even though she originally thought not...like most people. I went online and found a scientific breakdown of what oats have in them and voila', gluten!! Bummer ey? So tell everyone!!!!!! If they are from the oat family, they have gluten in them. May not be a lot, but not worth the chance of suffering. http://www.mdidea.com/products/new/new032.html#04 Take care, DM. Novato, CA.

I'm a part time at home Mom with two beautiful girls aged 10 and 13, who take after their mother and love to cook also. I love trying out new recipes, especially those that are light, healthy and have lots of flavour. My passion in life is to help woman grow into their potential, which I do through mentoring in my local church. For fun I enjoy reading, mosaics, gardening and having coffee with friends. My pet peeves - political correctness and blame shifting.
