1. My mom use to make a similar glorified rice that I loved as a child but she always mixed in strawberry/banana jell-o,no cherries and not always but sometimes the mini marshmallows, otherwise the same..rice, pineapple, whipping cream(the real stuff) I could never get enough of it,so glad this recipe in one version or another is still living on,YUMMO!

 3. This was really good. I substituted fruit cocktail for the pineapple and used cool whip instead of whipped cream, as that is what i had on hand. A nice creamy dessert. Thanks!

 4. I've been wanting to try this for awhile. It combines all my favorites: rice pudding and ambrosia! It was just as "glorious" as I expected. I ended up using about 1 1/3 cup rice, which was plenty creamy. I was surprised that no one had reviewed this yet. Try it, you'll love it! Roxygirl

I live with my husband, four cats, and a sweet mutt named Jada in Scarborough, Ontario, where I work as an elementary school administrative assistant. I have a 31 year old daughter who lives with her boyfriend in nearby Don Mills, along with my sweet granddogs, Frankie and Turbo. I would have to say that my passion is animals, since I have so many of them!

If I had a month off work to do what I please, I would first catch up on my sleep and then just have fun - see a few movies and maybe take a couple of short trips - something that wouldn't break the bank - lol!
