This was really good with 1 cup of brandy added to it. Warm it on the stove and just serve as the night goes on. Very addictive. Also, make sure to use green cardamom pods and not the white ones, for better flavor.

My Swedish father-in-law wanted to make Glogg this year for Christmas. I found your recipe, and he and I prepared it together. I have to say that I agree with you about how easy it is to drink too much of it--it is so flavorful and warm going down. I will definitely make this recipe again and again!

As a Danish woman I can testify that this is a true Scandinavian recipe. We did not change a thing, except for not heating it in the microwave (we heated it in the pot). Fabulous and a keeper for sure!!!

This is a great after-dinner drink, or just hanging around drink. I made as is, except I used cardamon powder b/c I could not find the pods, and I warmed in a crock pot. Delicious. Thanks for posting. I love ethnic dishes.

Spectacular! I made it in a crock-pot to keep it hot for a winter party, so just tossed everything in together and made sure the wine never boiled. The smell alone was intoxicating. I added a whole nutmeg to the spice mix which I will wrap in cheesecloth next time as it was hard to get them out of the raisins and almonds. I plan to make some kind of cake with the fruit and nuts from the next batch.
