This is a recipe we learned in culinary school. Comes in handy for Christmas parties to have around as snacks, and also taste great in salads
- Place brown sugar and water in a heavy skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is melted.
- Add pecans and cook, stirring constantly, until water evaporates, about 5 minutes.
- Spread pecans on parchment paper or on a baking sheet until cooled and dry.
- Store in an airtight container.
So simple to make. I used a maple flavored sugar with the brown sugar.
