- 177.44 ml butter, softened
- 177.44 ml creamy peanut butter
- 177.44 ml sugar
- 177.44 ml brown sugar, lightly packed
- 9.85 ml water
- 2 eggs
- 7.39 ml vanilla extract
- 354.88 ml all-purpose flour
- 354.88 ml quick-cooking oats
- 3.69 ml baking soda
- 2.46 ml salt

GLAZE
- 295.73 ml milk chocolate chips
- 118.29 ml butterscotch chips
- 118.29 ml creamy peanut butter
directions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, peanut butter, sugars and the water. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and vanilla. Combine the flour,oats, baking soda and salt;gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Spread into a greased 15x10 inch baking pan. Bake at 325 for 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned.
- For glaze: In a microwave safe bowl, melt chips and peanut butter; pour over warm bars and spread evenly. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.

VERY good!! I saw this recipe in the Aug/Sept 2007 Taste of Home mag and clipped it out to try. I used a 9.5x13.5 pan, so I had to add about 10 minutes to the baking time. I was a little dubious about the butterscotch chips (they're not my fave), but just the half-cup of them adds a different level to the chocolate glaze. Really good. I might add PB chips or some nuts to the bars if I made these again :)
