I like the ginger and cinnamon. I doubled both and might triple next time. The banana give them nice body.....heavier than average waffles. I like Spue's suggestion of serving with nuts....I might even put pecans in the batter as well as on top.
This recipe was fantastic! I used ground ginger because I didn't have fresh, and added 1/4 cup wheat germ to give it fiber. It made 22 4" square waffles in our waffle iron. I served it with syrup instead of powdered sugar.
i always love to try new variety's of waffles and this was a fun and different one. i think the banana in it kept it from getting crispy in the waffle iron so we toasted it a little afterwards. they were good served with banana's and nuts and syrup. thanks for something new.
