I cannot make a recipe using only 2 tablespoons of beaten egg. I just don't trust it. Is there a way to ask 'MacChef' if the recipe is correctly written ? Perhaps this person meant to beaten eggs instead of 2 tablespoons ?

Delicious! It looked like a sad mess when it went into the oven but it baked up really nice and smelled so good while baking. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I made this for a special dessert Christmas Eve- It was AMAZING! Everyone thought so- my brother-in-law was eating the leftovers in the morning! I was a little concerned with pouring the water and butter mixture on top of everything- but it just made it moist and came out absolutely perfect! One of the best desserts I have had yet! Thank you for sharing the recipe. Oh- and I doubled the recipe because it was for more people- I put it in a 9 by 13 glass baking dish and served it with vanilla ice cream.

Wow! I fully meant to take pictures. With 4 people going ga ga over how good this tastes,I did'nt get a chance to! fantastic, and I made it sugar free, with no artificial sweeteners.I let my dog have a taste and she loved it.Is there a successful way to double it,can I just double the ingredients, will that work?

So delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! I was in a hurry and didn't even gradually add my flour/molasses mixtures to the creamed butter; I just beat them all together and it was still very good.

This was very good. I made this for our Christmas dessert. I think I might have overbaked it. That, and I was a little short of molasses since I didn't have as much as I thought! So it wasn't very pudding-y (my fault probably). I liked that it only made a small square pan, perfect for just the two of us. I served this warm with ice cream or whipped cream and drizzled with spiced rum sauce from epicurious.

Very good-deserves real whipped cream. I didn't have cloves & nutmeg so substitued pumpkin pie spice. At my house, this barely served 6 people!
