    Marz's Note:

Wanted to post this for the sake of safe keeping. I have never made this recipe myself, however, my friend Cheryl, who is a wonderful baker, baked these for me once. They are delicious! She actually was trying out the recipe and had just used a star cookie you don't have to make only gingerbread people. These would look great on a holiday tray!

Cut out desired decorations and place on cookies. Press currants into dough to create eyes and buttons. To create hair, roll a piece of dough into a ball and pass through a clean garlic press. Attach hair to heads. Bake until crisp, but not darkened for about 20 minutes. Let cookies cool on wire racks.

      Decorate with royal icing.
