A really yummy syrup that can be used for a great drink! Adapted from Bon Appetit magazine(May 2006). Suggested uses for syrup:Place chopped mango or lime along with some mint in a glass. Muddle (mash), add ginger spice syrup, top with club soda or/and drink of choice. For a party, put out bowls of blueberries, chopped kiwi and pineapples, strawberries, etc. Have fun!

This syrup rocks! So far I have tried it in green tea, with club soda, and also with vodka and club soda for cocktail night :) I was really hoping to try it on fruit salad, but it seems I have used it all up and I'll have to make more! Thanks so much, Sharon, this will be a staple in my fridge from now on.
I really enjoyed this beautiful syrup Sharon. It was perfection, perfectly spiced with the right ratio of sweetness and tang. I am in tastebud heaven. I used the syrup on French Tarts delicious pancakes, it was an incredible blend. Thank you so much for sharing this quick and easy to make treat. I can't wait to try the drink. I see so many possible uses for this, I know that I will be making this again and again. Kudos Kato
Sharon - your recipes never fail to please me - we must both love the same things! This recipe was a TOTAL success - I love it! I have my own ginger syrup recipe, but I wanted to try your spicy version - it was gorgeous. I took photos of the syrup in a jar - it looked blah!! So, I took photos of how I used it - and I used it dribbled over my own Banoffee Pancakes! (With cream!) I also decided to dress the pancakes with an orange blossom spray and lilac for the floral photos tag challenge - but this recipe was made for PRMR. A lovely, spicy ginger syrup which I will recommend in my Banoffee Pancakes recipe and to anyone who asks! Thanks Shaz as we say in the UK! FT:-)
