I really wanted to like these but the molasses flavour is a little too strong and leaves an aftertaste so strong that my boyfriend wouldn't even eat them and he usually hoovers down almost anything. I followed the recipe exactly, they were done in 20 minutes and were very simple to make. I would like to make these again and perhaps use fresh grated ginger and less molasses - perhaps 1/4 cup but as written I would not make them again. Thanks for posting.

This muffin is very different form the regular muffins out there. Tastes a bit like gingerbread, and a bit moist. Be careful handling molasses, its a bit messy!
