Ginger Chicken Wontons (Low Carb)

"This is a somersize recipe, but I use it even though I am not on the diet. You can use wonton wrappers but it makes this a level 2.use with Gingered soy sauce or Chinese hot mustard for dipping sauce."

  1. My family and I loved this! I'm trying to eat low carb and this definitely satisfied my craving for Asian food. I substituted fresh ground pork for the ground chicken and served it with gingered soy sauce and fried rice. I will definitely be making this again.

  2. Yummy! We are always looking for ways to reduce the carbs and love Asian food, so this really fit the bill. We would love the wonton wrappers, but skipped them this time around. Made as directed and served with hot mustard. Thanks for sharing these tasty little treats. Made for No Nonsense Nibblers of ZWT 6! :)

  3. Very very tasty. I used tofu instead of chicken and chicken bouillon instead of salt. I thought it had a bit too much pepper, but my husband didn't mind. Because tofu does not stick together very well, I used wonton wrappers and fried half and boiled half. They turned out fantastic. The mix made more than enough to fill all 50 wonton wrappers. Thanks so much for the easy recipe! I love eating wontons and now I can have them inexpensively anytime! Made for team SSaSSy for ZWT6.

  4. Very tasty little nuggets. I made as written but would double the cayenne in future. Ultra easy to make -- I wore latex gloves to mix the ingredients together by hand. Served with Recipe #359151 and Recipe #425009, but also like the idea of using a hot mustard sauce.

  5. I don't think my little "chicken balls" turned out as pretty as kellychris's, but they sure were delicious! I'm sure these are supposed to be Asian, but we dipped into tzatziki (sp?) sauce and loved it! Kids dunked in ketchup of course lol! Made for Zingo in ZWT6 by an Unruly Under the Influence. Thanks for sharing!

My Family and I moved to South Africa at the beginning of 2007 to be missionaries. My Husband is the Pastor of a church in Eden Park, a township in the Jo'burg area. We are having a great time. My kids love it (3 of them, 1 born here). We have got to do many exciting things( pet lion cubs, feed giraffes, eat Zebra(gross!)and other meats(Warthog was surprisingly the best, go figure) and swim on a beach with penguins, to name a few). I have always loved to bake but just got into cooking since moving over here. There were a lot of things I couldn't find over here(and still can't) that we were wanting so I started searching for good recipes for everything from sausage, salad dressing and root beer,to enchilada sauce, Macayo's baja sauce(posted), and Applebees hot wings! A fellow missionary turned me on to this site and My husband got me a membership for this last birthday. I am loving it!
