This was in a collection of recipe cards by my grandma (Gigi). It is quite simple and delicious.

We like a one crust pie, and this is a simple solution to the apple pie! Used Splenda in the pie, added a dash of nutmeg. In the streusel, used 1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar blend and 1/4 cup regular Splenda. Simple to make and a real treat. The recipe strongly resembles that in the old Betty Crocker cookbook, but the baking temp is lower. In fact, this one needed 10 extra minutes baking time. Thanks for sharing this, Krsi.

  1. Mix pie filling ingredients together and place in pie shell.
  2. Mix brown sugar and flour together.
  3. Cut in butter.
  4. Sprinkle topping onto the filling.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
