These big guys satisfied all the chocolate chip cookie cravings in my house today....very good! I used a combination of semi-sweet and white chocolate chunks. This is a fun recipe that I'll be sure to make again....now if I can only find a container large enough to store them in!
Excellent cookie! These came out soft & a little chewy, even after they had cooled. Thanks for posting! -M :-)
These were really good! I added cashews to mine for something a little different. These had a nice buttery flavor and not too sweet. The only thing I didn't like about these was that they spread, which was pretty flat. Thank you!!!
These were really good. I didn't flatten them before putting them in the oven and they somewhat flattened themselves during the baking process. They kind of had a nice shape to them when I took them out of the oven, and were pretty good.
I've made chocolate chip cookies from scratch before, always good. These were fantastic!!! I didn't make giant ones, just regular size. My kids LOVED them, and they never "LOVE" anything I cook. Thanks for making me look so good.
GREAT cookies! My bf said these were the best CC cookies he has had yet..... and he is almost as picky as my mother! I made these smaller and split the batch in half and did one without nuts because of allergies. Very recommended! I also froze the dough so they would not spread as much and baked in convection at 325 for 10 min. Made for ZWT 3!
Oh wow!! These were tremendously good- buttery, soft and chewy centres with slightly crisp edges. The tiny bit of almond extract really adds to the great flavour. Made with semi-sweet chocolate and pecans, I added another 1/4 cup flour to the dough just to stiffen it a bit and chilled the dough in the freezer for 10 minutes before baking on parchment-lined baking sheets. I placed 9 cookies on each sheet as they still spread with cooking, but didn't flatten out past my comfort zone! The kids were enamoured with the sheer size of them and said they were really really good, too! Thanks! Made for ZWT3.
I think this is going to replace the tried-n-true choc. chip cookie recipe I've fussed with for years! This one is just perfect! My 11 y.o.DD made these this afternoon (first day of summer vacation!) and they turned out perfectly....granted she used a cookie scoop and didn't bother flattening them, but they turned out beautifully. She doubled the recipe for the dough (kids home need snacks, yah know!), and then stirred nuts into just HALF of the dough (the kids aren't fond of nuts in their cookies for some reason--maybe because they're already NUTS!). Hmm. Anyway..this one is definitely a KEEPER!!! *Made for ZWT3 US Regional*
These cookies really spread a lot while baking so make certain to leave enough space between the dough before you bake! I increased the almond extract to 1 teaspoon, and used chopped almonds for the nuts, great cookie recipe Ev!...Kitten:)
Fantastic! I needed to make a care basket for a friend & tried these. The only adjustment (of sorts) I made was with the chunks, using 3 different chocolates and cutting them into large chunks. Milk chocolate / Dark Chocolate / Bittersweet no sugar Chocolate... I tasted one as a test before sending - had to seal the rest and put in car to deliver the next day! SUPER - will be used weekly here now!
