Quick to make and easily halved for an 8X8 pan. The family enjoyed and we will make again.

Absolutely great bars, these! Made 'em with pecans & since I baked them in a glass pan, I left them in for almost 40 minutes & was very, very happy with the results! My rule of thumb is 5 to 8 minutes longer if using glass rather than metal! Will be doing these again! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in Went to the Market recipe tag]

Love, Love, Love this recipe! I have made this recipe three times and followed the directions perfectly. My family devours them so fast that it makes my head spin! The only issue is that I have had to cook them for more like 45 minutes every time, or else they are complete goo in the middle. I used a glass 13X 9 pan every time. I am considering adding a little more flour to the recipe because it seems a little thin to me. Any tips???

This has become my go-to dessert for bake sales and pot lucks. I get compliments on it every time (and requests to make it again) I don't add nuts; still is wonderful. Thank you so much for posting!

These are so good and rich! I used about 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts and they cooked up in 37 minutes. So much easier than making cookies! Made for I Recommend Tag.

These were a snap to make and great tasting!! It was surprising that there was no white sugar in the recipe and I re-read it several times just to make sure. I didn't add nuts because of family preference and ended up adding additional chocolate chips; next time I won't do that (or not use quite so many extra) because there was almost no cookie -- just chocolate goo!! All in all a great recipe -- rating 4 1/2!!

They were good, but seemed to be missing something. Maybe not enough vanilla? I don't know. Not very flavorful.

Excellent bars! These completely fit my wednesday group baking requirements - simple enough to make before work in the morning, and a crowd pleaser on top of it! I'll definately keep this recipe handy. I didn't use nuts today but to compensate, added 1/2 cup of toffee chips, which were a good choice! They baked up in 35 minutes. Thanks so much for posting this recipe, Studentchef! They were thoroughly enjoyed! Made for Sweet Traditions Tag.

These were AWESOME!!!!!! They've replaced my regular blonde brownie! I read an article at: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/09/dining/09chip.html about how one should leave the dough in the fridge because it makes for a better cookie! Using the chilling method and this recipe, it was pure heaven!!!!! Thanks!!!

I have made these twice in the last two weeks. They are so good! I didn't have Ghirardelli chips and used dark chocolate Kissables the first time and Hershey's Special Dark chips the second. I didn't use nuts because of allergies but if I had used walnuts I would have eaten the whole pan myself. Mine took 40 minutes but who cares. That way they weren't cool enough to eat until after the kids were in bed. I will be making this many, many more times. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Delish! I love almonds, so I changed the nuts to almonds (and used almond extract instead of the vanilla). They came out great.

These were quick, easy and wonderful! I made them to bring to a friends house and had my son and his friends test them out. What a hit! I had to adjust the baking time a bit. I used a glass 9x13 pan and had to bake for about 40 minutes. But wow were they moist, tasty and delightful! Thanks for a great, quick and easy treat!

Yikes...these are sinfully delicious! I think I gained 5 pounds just smelling them bake!!! We topped ours with vanilla ice cream and ate them while they were warm. This is a great dessert, but this will probably be a once a year thing! :)

I made these today to serve to friends I had over for a movie night tonight and they all enjoyed them. They were really easy to do and they had that slightly buttery crisp texture when you first bit in that was then met by a soft gooey cookie center that I enjoy with a good cookie. Mine took about 35 minutes to finish cooking. Made as a thank you for adopting me for PAC Spring 2008.

My DD loved them. Mine took 30 minutes to cook. I did not use nuts since I was taking to family get together. My picky grandson did not like them. My DH and I thought they were good but not exceptional. Very easy to make and moist.
