I made this recipe because I couldn't go to the store to buy ketchup so I made it. I needed ketchup for a recipe and it was perfect. Maybe the taste is not exactly like store-bought ketchup but for a recipe that's great. Thanks Gloria :) Made for cookbook tag game

I'm sorry, but this ketchup was just not to our liking. The cinnamon just did not belong. I tried to fix it up by adding onion and garlic powder, but just couldn't lose the cinnamon flavor. Thanks anyway!

This was just what I was looking for as a replacement to store bought HFCS ketchups. I quadrupled the recipe and filled an old ketchup bottle (36 oz with just a little bit leftover). I also used a hand blender and added about 1/2 C water total so it would go through the funnel a little bit more easily. The kids loved it!

Fantastic recipe! Only changes I made was I used 4 oz of tomato sauce in place of the water and 1 Tbs of white wine vinegar. Flavor was totally delicious. I used this in Bobbie-Q Sauce (Barbecue Sauce) to pour over some grilled pork spare ribs that we had left from the day before. Baked them in the oven for 1hr and they were so nice and tender. Can't wait to try this ketchup with french fries :) Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
