My husband loved these! I used crunchy peanut butter, and they were great. I prefer my non pb versions with a lot less sugar, but these hit the top of his list. Great for a portable breakfast.
Thanks for the recipe! I actually had to modify quite a bit because I didn't have the right ingredients. I used unrefined muscovado sugar+water instead of corn syrup, which gave it a deeper sweet taste. I omitted the extra sugar. I also didn't have grape nuts, so I used corn flakes and maple nut oatmeal crisp. Then I didn't have the dried cranberries, but I used granola cereal that had dried raspberries and blueberries in it. The peanut butter taste was really good and this recipe was very simple!
I followed the recipe exactly. These are easy to make & very tasty. Next time I might omit the dried cranberries and add and assortment of nuts which are my favorite. Thanks for sharing this recipe
Sorry but we didn't like these at all; they're sticky on the bottom and way too sweet. They're sitting on the counter for dh to take to work & hopefully get rid of. My 3 boys especially didn't like them. I made exactly according to recipe except using peanuts and dried cherries.
You obviously don't need anymore rave reviews, but I had to tell you that the only reason I made these was because of all the stars!! I wasn't totally convinced, but I took them to work and they were GONE!! My hubby even liked them and he never likes anything healthy! Thanks SO much--I am truly impressed.
This is great! I didn't have any grape nuts or anything else like it so I used the rest of the Smart Start and Kashi cereal that I had around. It was all high protein so that is great for me. I also mixed raisins and orange cranberries and used pecans and leftover mixed nuts instead of just almonds. They turned out Fantastic! And MUCH better than trying to buy some power bar somewhere, at least you really know what is in these bars as you make them yourself. Cheaper by far too!
These are excellent! The recipe is simple, which is good because the bars were gone in no time. Thanks for a quick, easy, great snack!
these taste like granola bars. i think if i make them again i'll do one less cup of grape nuts and add in one cup of rice krispies. I don't really like the flavor of cranberries with peanut butter since i am not a fan of pbj sandwiches. i did do half the batch with mini chocolate chips which was yummy. so i still give it 4 stars.
Very good. Thanks for sharing.
