This dish turned out really delicious from very simple ingredients. My whole family loved this steak and the yummy sauce was a perfect compliment. Thanks for sharing this! Made for ZWT 6 Queens of Quisine.

I really enjoyed this as part of tonight's meal. I went with a low fat yogurt instead of the sour cream and it still worked well. Made for ZWT4.

This was a excellent meal. I used beef tenderloin, grilled, sliced and then topped with the onion mixture. I did use yogurt for a lower fat version. Made for *ZWT 2008*

Oh dear, for our tastes the sour cream didn't compliment the steak. So sorry friend Diner. Made for 1-2-3 Wonders tag game, please see my rating system.

Delish! What a great way to have steak. I also added mushrooms to the onions and we loved this wonderful topping. Thanks diner and congrats again on your football win.

So simple & so tasty, as suggested I added mushrooms to mine and served over scotch fillet steak. Thanks for a keeper!

Yum! This was something I was expecting to be 'OK' but the taste far exceeds the limited effort and ingredients involved. The trick really is to let the onions gradually soak up that butter - I cooked even more slowly than indicated so don't be tempted to rush it and you'll be suprised by the results.
