  • Cut the bacon and onions into small slices.
  • Clean and dice the carrots.
  • Cook the bacon pieces until limp, then take out of the pot.
  • Add oil to the bacon fat and brown the meat in small portions.
  • Now add the onions and all the remaining ingredients, except sour cream.
  • Cook everything in a slow cooker for 8 hours on low heat.
  • Add sour cream or thicken with water/flour mixture.
  • Season to taste.
