German-Chocolate Cake With Coconut-Pecan Sauce

"After the "cooking spray" in the ingredients, the rest of the ingredients are for the sauce, Z would not let me post it that way or I am too blonde to figger it out. LOL At the other site, this got rave reviews, especially the sauce. Prep time is approximate. Can't wait to try it! This is posted for ZWT 2010. Recipe from Southern Living, September, 2005."

 1. Other than adding a little extra coconut, made as posted. No trouble at all. Followed the directions to a tee, and had wonderful flavors, and great mistness inside. Made for 1-2-3 hits.

 2. I love German chocolate cake, but hate making layer cakes. This recipe was perfect! No layers, no fuss, just great German chocolate cake taste. Made for the X-tra Hot Dishes ZWT 6

 3. Yum! What an easy way to get the taste of German Chocolate Cake without the trouble of making a layer cake! I added some more coconut and used german chocolate, instead of sweet baking; otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly.

Hello all, being from California, I can honestly say I am a foodie. You can walk by construction workers here and hear them saying things like, So I used some fresh garlic and olive oil, then threw the rest into the pan to sautee. LOL I love all kinds of food, and trying to eat healthier as I get older, but still indulge in the occasional deep-fried food or sweet.
I LOVE this site! I have 3 or 4 other food sites such as Epicurious and Food Network, but I always come back here! The ease and all of the features just can't be beat.
Thanks Zaar and I look forward to participating more.
