German Chocolate Cake Frosting
"With how easy and delicous this recipe is, there is no excuses for anyone to rely on canned German Chocolate frosting anymore.
This recipe is tried and true courtesy of my favorite cook...my mom.
My husband loves German chocolate cake, and this frosting is what makes it.

2.5 Cups
ingredients
- 236.59 ml granulated sugar
- 236.59 ml evaporated milk
- 118.29 ml butter or 118.29 ml margarine
- 3 egg yolks
- 4.92 ml vanilla
- 315.37 ml flaked coconut
- 236.59 ml chopped nuts, typically walnuts or 236.59 ml pecans, slivered almonds work as well
directions
- Place everything but nuts and coconut in sauce pan.
- Cook over medium heat, cook for approximately 12 minutes.
- Stir in nuts and coconut.
- Frost cake.

I'm always on the look out for new tried and true recipes and love to share the recipes that I enjoy making.
Growing up as a child my mom taught me how to cook/bake and I later entered food competitions at our local fair.
I hope to some day share my love of cooking with my children.
I love to cook casseroles..I'm not a huge fan of meat but will toss it in casseroles for my meat and potato husband. :)
