We really enjoyed this cake. Not sure I cooked the topping long enough, but sure liked the saucey anyways. Next time I make this I think I will prick the cake with a fork several times so that the sauce can soak more into the cake. Thank You for sharing this recipe

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Mix apples & sugar and leave to stand till sugar dissolves. Add eggs,mix well.Add dry ingredients followed by nuts and raisins & nuts. Pour into 8" x 8" tin and bake in 375 degrees oven 40-45 minutes.
  2. Take cake out of tin and stand on cooling tray.
  3. Topping:.
  4. mix sugars/flour/water and cook on top of stove till slightly thick & clear.Add remaining ingredients and pour over hot cake.
