  • 25 saltine crackers, finely crushed
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • Cool Whip


  1. Combine crackers, 1/2 cup of sugar, and pecans.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff, add the other 1/2 cup of sugar and fold into cracker mixture. Pour into well-buttered 9-inch pie plate and bake for 35 to 45 minutes at 325°F.
  3. Mix the maple flavoring into the Cool Whip and put on top of each slice before serving.
