      A cousin made this for a family reunion recently. She called her recipe "Georgia Cornbread', too. It was delicious... slightly sweet and different from any cake I'd ever had. She put walnuts in hers instead of the pecans, and dusted the top with powdered sugar. I'll be making it myself the next time we have a family get-together.

      Good recipe! I baked my cake at a slower temp and a few mins longer and it came out great!

      Love this recipe!!! Not too sweet & taste a little like a blondie brownie. Definitely a keeper & will be made again & again & again.

      I have used a different "cornbread cake" recipe for years. I did not have the ingredients so I discovered this one when searching for another. I took this cake to a family reunion and it went fast. Everyone love it and wanted the recipe. When the grandparents and great grandparents love it, I know I have a winner. I'm going to make it this week for my family since none of us got to try it at the reunion.

      I've been baking this easy, delicious cake for several years. I was intrigued by the name and completely won over by the taste. If you're worried about it, the taste is rather like a banana bread without the bananas!
