Great raisin sauce for holiday ham.
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Simmer water and cook raisins for 10 minutes to reconstitute.
- Add sugar and cinnnamon, and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Add corn starch and return to heat, and thicken.
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice.
