I used garlic paste in place of the onion as garlic dip was what I wanted. It was enjoyed as a bread and raw veggie dip along with marinated mushrooms and a chicken main last evening. :D
Where's the garlic?? (grin) Did I miss it?
I liked this just fine, and made a quarter of a recipe, using garlic powder and NO onion at all. I also may not have used enough cream, as my dip was stiff, which was also perfectly fine with me! I 'shaped' the dip by lining a small bowl with plastic wrap, and filling with the dip, which I chilled. Pulled it out of the fridge, removed plastic wrap and VOILA! Cute little cheesy dip! Next time I will try with roasted garlic - Thanks for sharing, I'mPat.
YUM, this was so easy and quick to put together and yielded and excellent dip for crudites! Loved the creaminess and cheesy taste in this. I added 1/2 ts garlic powder and used quark instead of cream as thats what I had on hand. I also left out the Worcestershire sauce as its not vegetarian and reduced the cheese a tad. It came out so nice, Ill make it again for sure.
THANKS for sharing, Pat! :)
Made and reviewed for the Aussie/NZ Recipe Swap #57 October 2011.
A nice dip for both veggies and bread a like, although a bit salty from all the parmesan. Made half recipe using roasted garlic in place of the dried onions as the title is garlic dip and did not want the crunch of dried onion in my dip. Thanks for the post.
