Garlicky Green Beans

"One summer I had a bumper crop of green beans so I had to think how to make them interesting every night because everyone was getting sick of them. This recipe was very popular. I serve it whenever I want to fancy up a meal and it's always a hit with those who love garlic."

  1. This is an awesome recipe and soooo delicious! Definitely, a keeper and will be enjoyed often. Fresh green beans are a must - canned or frozen don't compare. Thanks very much for posting it.

  2. I used homecanned green beans(I still have about 80 quarts!) I forgot to add the bread crumbs but even without them this recipe is a winner!!!

  3. YUMMY! I don't know if it's the butter or the garlic (probably both) but this was delicious! I accidentally put in too much bread crumbs but it still came out fantastic. I used canned beans (all I had) and just heated up till hot then threw them in the pan with the butter/garlic!

  4. This was fantastic. I was so happy to be able to make a recipe with ingredients I usually have at home. The only suggestion I have is to add a step before the 'serve and enjoy' step that says 'Season to taste with salt and pepper.' Once I did that I was over the moon!

  5. You're right about this recipe being a hit. I served this as a side for my Easter dinner and got lots of compliments. I will sure be making this again. Thanks!
