Garlic Walnut Green Beans

This recipe was on a bag of garlic bulbs at a produce stand in the state of Washington. Green beans are not always my favorite vegetable, but this recipe makes them very tasty.

Most garlicy and tasty green beans! We loved them. I did by accident blend the nuts with the dressing, resulting in a pesto type sauce, which was wonderfully tasty. When reviewing the recipe I realised the nuts where supposed to be added whole. I will, next time, and perhaps toast them first, like some other viewers. I also left the salt out, was perfect.

  1. Wash and cut green beans.
  2. Steam until al dente.
  3. Meanwhile, put peeled garlic cloves, bouillon cube, salt and pepper, and olive oil in blender.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Drain green beans.
  6. Pour oil over beans and toss to coat.
  7. Mix in nuts.
