This came from a local recipe pamplet.
- 3 small tomatoes, ripe
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- chives, chopped
- 5 -6 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled
- toast rounds (tomato slice size)
- Peel and slice the tomatoes.
- Cut as many tomato rounds as you have toast rounds.
- Mix mayonnaise with garlic.
- Spread on tomatoes.
- Broil for 3 minutes, until brown.
- Sprinkle with chives and bacon.
