This recipe was great - everyone came back for seconds, thirds, and even fourths! I made very few changes - I used frozen boiled shrimp and chopped up broccoli I had previously cooked, and dry dill weed as I didn't have fresh this season. I had only 5 garlic cloves (quite large, fortunately) - next time I will make sure I have plenty of garlic on hand. My husband, although he had 4 helpings, would have preferred a little more oil - I may try one Tbsp. oil instead of the water to saute the onions. By popular demand, I will be making this frequently.
Made this for dinner last night and it is delicious. I really liked the fact that it is low in calories without a lot of added fat or oil. I did use a couple of teaspoons olive oil to cook the onion. Gluten free penne was substituted for the angel hair. With the penne I got 4 nice servings. DH and I are looking forward to leftovers.
This was really good! I actually substitute spray-on olive oil and cooking sherry for the water for cooking the onions, garlic and shrimp. It mostly cooks off, so it adds very few calories.
Wonderful! My DH thought there was too much garlic (can there be such a thing??? And he's italian!) My kids devoured it!!! A couple of modifications because we were snowed in, I didn't have broccoli... we just left it out. Other than that - I made a double recipe and we have one serving left for lunch tomorrow! My hat off to you TISH!! THANKS for SHARING!
Great recipe! Easy to prepare and has a lot of flavor!
Delicious. I swapped broccoli for asparagus since that was on hand readily at the time, and dropped the onions. Tastes great, easy to make, and I liked the additional 'heat' from the red pepper.
