  1. As someone who was teased incessantly at her last job for loving garlic "too much", I thank for you this recipe. I whipped it up in about 15 minutes and no one could believe that I didn't slave for hours. It truly taste gourmet! I didn't have any cloves, so I used a nice chopped garlic paste from the local gourmet grocery and it worked really well. I love how you can add more pepper and tone down the garlic for relatives or guests that aren't as fond of garlic.

  2. This was very good! I used 3-4 Tbsp. of minced garlic instead of whole cloves, substituted butter for margarine and added kosher salt to the salmon and it came out fantastic!

  3. What a terrific and simple recipe! I love cooking, but had never tried to cook fish before. This was my perfect first shot at it. It turned out wonderful! The only thing I did different is I used 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp olive oil instead of 2 Tbsp butter, then also sprinkled salt on the fish.

  4. I liked how quick and easy this was to make and it tasted pretty good too. However, the kiddo wasn't impressed.

  5. seared the salmon and baked until the sauce was done. garlic, butter and basil worked well. added some honey to thicken the sauce. Should have reduced to 1/2. Wasabi mashed potatoes go well with this recipe.

  1. I made salmon two ways tonight; your recipe was one of them. I found it to be nice and flavorful. Simple to prepare. I used minced garlic instead of pressed and topped it on the salmon. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  4. This was a tasty recipe. I too let the garlic set and then browned. But, maybe because I had a salmon steak instead of a fillet it didn't get cooked/hot all the way through? I ended up having to microwave it for a minute. I did use the butter/garlic drippings over brown rice which gave it a wonderful flavor. Will try again with a fillet! Thank you!

  5. I used margarine instead of butter - I didn't have any butter - but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly and it was DELICIOUS!! Thanks!
