Garlic Hummus

"The garlic in this delicious hummus gives it a great spicy kick! We love it so much we make it at least once a week :)"

• Ingredients: 9
• Yields: 1 bowl
• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can garbanzo beans (drained, but save the liquid)
• 6 tablespoons water (from the drained can you reserved)
• salt and pepper
• 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄4 teaspoon cumin
• 3 -5 tablespoons lemon juice (depending on taste)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 3 tablespoons tahini
• 6 -8 garlic cloves, minced

directions

1. Combine all but the last 2 ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
2. Stir in the tahini and garlic.
3. Chill in the refrigerator and serve with pita triangles, veggies, crackers, or on a sandwich. Enjoy!

Store bought hummus is no longer now that I have found out how easy it is to make at home. I did use the 8 garlic cloves, love it, and 4 tablespoons of lemon juice So much fresher and better tasting then store bought! Served with fresh vege's and assorted crackers. Will be keeping garbanzo beans and tahini in my pantry. Made and reviewed for Susie's Word Tour 2019 - Morocco.

This is a very good hummus recipe and I made it to go in recipe#353485 - it worked very well and really added a great flavor to the dip. I made this recipe as directed, but did add additional cumin. Will definitely make this dish again.

TASTY! I LOVE a garlicky hummus. I pureed everything with my immersion blender in a bowl and it worked out great. I only used 3 tbsp of the reserved bean juice as I didn't want it to be too thin. I used 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice and hot Hungarian paprika. While not the best hummus I've had, it is very good and easy to make. Made for ZWT4.
